Cinco De Mayo is the day of good food and friends to celebrate with you. I am not Mexican but as close as you can get, well I should explain that, I am a gringo when it comes to speaking but in appearance I look Latin-which should be I am from Guatemala.
Any who! Our family celebrated yesterday, since tonight is a school day and night. We had 4 families over, each of us bringing a main dish to share. Lets see...Sheldon and I made Tamales, Shari made a taco bake, Marianne made seven layer dip with chips, Joliene made a large taco salad and Alexis made traditional Mexican corn bread with Jalapenos in it. All of it was yummy! Thanks guys for coming and eating with our family!
Now that I have said that, if I told you there were 16 kids, would you believe it! I don't that is why I am mentioning it.
Continuing on.....it is a pretty morning, the temperature this week I think is in the high 60's low 70's, I am hoping that is it.
I have a lot to accomplish this next couple of weeks, with my brother (Alex) and his family coming I want my home to be BEAUTIFUL...I am going to tackle painting the kitchen, along with bordering it. I also need to finish the wonderful project of Spencer's bed. Sheldon's job's consist of finishing Mercedez locker system and my kitchen hutch.
It probably amazes people how much I am constantly changing my home, I know it is an addiction, but I'm just happy it's a good one! Plus - so far no one has ever come into my home and said "What an ugly home you have", so I must be doing something right.

Hi Alyssa,
That photo brings back so many memories of our first move to Florida. We had so much fun on that drive, driving until a half hour before tip-off time for the Jazz when they were in the play-offs, the thumbs-up response by others at our "Go Jazz" signs in the windows, that summer on the beautiful Siesta Key beaches of Sarasota - culminating in a wedding for you and Sheldon and three beautiful children for you and grandchildren for me. Wow! A lot accomplished in the past ten years on your part for your life together with Sheldon!
You have a beautiful love for each other and your children and I do hope the next ten years bring you much joy and happiness and that you live every moment in His light.
I love you forever,
Mom
