Softball season has officially started!

Softball season opened up for the kids this past Tuesday, with both of the kids playing against the green team...I was very impressed with how well they jump back into a sport that they have taken a break from for the past year. Mercedez opened up with a fly ball that the opponent caught (to my surprise), so she was out (it took her a moment to except that). Spencer opened with a nice hit to left field, which hit his coach (the pitcher) in the shin, and was able to bring in his team mates. Then Mercedez took another shot and made a very nice play for left field bringing more team mates home. Once in out field Spencer was able to make a nice play with 1st base and together they were able to get an opponent out... All in all it was a great, their coach was very impressed, and at one point a grampa turned to me and said" Boy! That boy can sure hit" might I add that I in return said " YES, SHE CAN, AND SO CAN HER BROTHER". That's when he noticed her pig tales hanging out the back.... So YES we are very proud of the both of them, and as soon as I get batteries for the camera I will post some pictures.
