A sad trip home!

The last Sunday of September I received a phone call from my aunt telling me to get my.....to Oregon, my grandpa had a 5% chance of living. With tears in my eyes I let the family know and Sheldon booked our tickets for that afternoon. Two hours before we got to Portland he passed away. I had so hoped he could have held on till we had arrived. The pictures below are many of the moments we spent time together with our family. I had called my sister Kali and she, her husband Cody and baby Alley drove from Utah, my brother Alex and I left at the same time Sunday morning and he flew his baby and girlfriend up from California. We stayed with my aunt Jackie and uncle Randy, my uncle Doug came up with my cousin Earl and his family from Portland, and then my aunt Megan and her family came from John Day, Oregon. Let me tell you, it was such a bitter sweet trip through those mountains, our family hasn't been there in three years and this not how we had envisioned going back. Something my nephew Gabe said keeps haunting me " Are we still sad", in response my aunt and uncle say " YES, we are still sad". October 1st was my sister birthday, so we had "D"(alex's girlfriend) make Kali a cake, it was one of our happier moments....
My many thank yous to my brother and sister for coming and giving my moral support, and thank yous to my aunt and uncle for a place to stay, food to eat, and moral support also. Many tears can't change what is now, but I know that eventually my heart will heal and one day I will see him again! For those of you not LDS, just know it's an LDS belief!

I love you and I wanted to say it is not just an LDS belief, Silly Goose all those religions believe in heaven and an after life. Just think if you were a buddist or whatever someone might be re-incarnated into a dandelion (the ones Alex used to eat to show off for girls). There food for thought. This thought is suppose to be uplifting??...
You are strong and have a wonderful family that will talk and laugh with you any time you need a swift kick inthe ass. Love you!!!!!
